Health Promotion Occupational health measures

Our employees and their health have always been close to our hearts. Since 2016, we have been actively supporting them in taking care of themselves – and creating the right environment to promote well-being and balance in their everyday working lives.

Objectives & Partnership:

Since 2016, the aks Pflegedienst has been running several projects in collaboration with IKK gesund plus to promote health in the workplace, based on the motto "You are important – take good care of yourself".

Certification & Outlook:

After four years, the project was successfully completed and certified. The participation and commitment of the employees were officially recognised – including the presentation of certificates by representatives of the IKK. The study conducted after two years, which dealt with the success of the measures introduced, was recorded in a final presentation.

Fixed components in everyday life:

Health promotion is not just a project, but an integral part of everyday working life at aks: in-house massages, staff breakfasts, health courses and screenings. Since 2021, there has also been the aks garden, which is described in more detail below.

Idea & Use

The aks garden is an outdoor area created especially for employees. It invites them to barbecue after work, relax and simply enjoy their time. It is a place where peace and quiet and personal needs are the focus.

Integration into the health project

The garden was an integral part of the kick-off event for the launch of the "Health Promotion" project in summer 2021 – accompanied by a project film documenting its presentation.

Practical access

Employees can easily book and use the garden – a beautiful, free outdoor retreat.

All employees can book their time off in the garden using the "Reserve" button. In the garden, you can have coffee, barbecue, or simply relax.

It offers the following features:

  • Seating for approx. 15 people
  • Crockery and cutlery for approx. 15 people
  • Barbeque
  • Coffee machine
  • Fridge

Of course, you are welcome to use everything, but please leave everything clean again. You will find brief instructions on how to do this in the garden shed.

You will receive the key to the garden in the office Hemmstraße from Mario Shqau.
